Since its inception in 1960 by Kevan F. Hartwell Sr. and Stanley C. Alldritt, ECCO became a company with a vision and clearly defined goals. The mandate was emphasized every day to all employees, to make ECCO the best in sheet metal manufacturing and distribution of their products. From the very humble beginnings quality became an obsession and the same spirit exists to this very day. ECCO not only engages in sheet metal manufacturing and distribution, but also allied itself with hundreds of quality HVAC related manufacturers, with the objective of becoming a “one stop HVAC-R distributor”.
The ECCO organization was built on core values and everyone acknowledged that without those the company would not have succeeded and be where they are at today. Core means at the center and the values are the beliefs, in other words the defined goals were at the center of everyone in the company. They believed in it, and every single day all ECCO employees were influenced by these beliefs to make ECCO the best in sheet metal manufacturing and distribution of its products.
As ECCO continues to grow, people from different backgrounds are recruited and trained to adopt ECCO’s concepts. With more than 600 employees at 18 locations strictly adhering to the vision of our founding fathers, ECCO continues to lead the HVAC industry.
Our senior management is very alert to the technological changes within our industry and continually investigates new avenues of providing service to the HVAC-R industry with new inventions. We provide new product training and upgrading for both ECCO’s employees and customers and engage in a thorough marketing campaign for all such products.
Almost 50 years since ECCO was incorporated it has been a true success story. This, the way we see it, has only been attributable to having had clearly defined goals at the center of our company and constantly surrounding ourselves with qualified hard working, loyal, and respectful people who continue to share our common objectives. We treasure the support of our thousands of ECCO customers. Without their loyal support ECCO would not have had the privilege of success. We will continue to lead in providing our customers with quality in both product and services and ensure our core values will continue in assisting ECCO in being a Canadian success story.
